SIERRA MADRE VINEYARD RECEIVES SIP™ CERTIFICATION
The Sierra Madre Vineyard proudly joins the select number of vineyards achieving Sustainability In Practice (SIP)™ Certification, a program recognizing wines produced from grapes grown with sustainable vineyard management practices. The Central Coast Vineyard Team developed the SIP™ Certification program while working to understand and promote best practices in sustainable farming.

We received our SIP™ Certification following successful efforts at conserving water and ensuring water quality as well as promoting both safe pest management and natural habitat maintenance. SIP™ Certified vineyards must also demonstrate a commitment to energy efficiency at the vineyard including efforts to reduce energy use and pursue alternative energy sources. In developing a strong vineyard team led by vineyard manager Rodolfo Callado, the Sierra Madre Vineyard ensures that skilled and sensitive workers care for these vines and commit themselves to careful and attentive management practices.
FROM THE PROPRIETOR
Thank you for visiting Sierra Madre Vineyard’s website. I hope you’ll take the opportunity to read about our historic Santa Maria Valley vineyard and the fine producers who have made wine from it over the past three decades.
My wife and I were blessed with the stewardship of this celebrated gem in 2003. We continue to sell most of our fruit to the most incredible Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers in California, and have also launched our own little wine brand that we hope you’ll enjoy as well.
I welcome your comments on our site, and our wines. Please feel free to reach me at doug@sierramadrevineyard.com.
Cheers!

Doug Circle, Wine Grower
